Material degradation is a huge issue and leads to material and energy loss which in turn hampers the forecasted tonnage of material to be produced in a year. This depends on a lot of factors -

  • Chemical composition of the caked material

  • particle size

  • basicity

  • reducibility index

  • reduction degradation index

  • cold strength index( tumbler index, abrassive index, shatter index)

  • swelling index

These properties can be controlled by a number of ways, which will exponentially improve the quality of the sinter mix obtained. The following are a few ways that will help achieve such traits -

  • temperature of baking

  • temperature permeability

  • holding time(grate-plate composed belt speed)

  • particle size distribution

BMHequip has a combined experience of more than 15 years in transfer chute design with the help of leading industrial softwares, and will help users eradicate any problems related to transfer chute.
